Landscape Photography

Looking at my work, we can see that my work consists of different types of photography in landscapes, each time I shoot or go out to try different shoots. Long exposure photography of steam engines and maritime ships creates captivating images by emphasizing movement and light, with carefully chosen angles and camera techniques that enhance the visual appeal and drama of each scene. But some of the other images above show some shots taken during the day or at sunset with different camera settings, some were on ISO 100, and a shutter speed at 1/200 at F14. However! Landscape photography captures not just scenery, but the rich details and elements within each frame—whether buildings, objects, or natural features—creating powerful images that evoke emotion and tell the story of a place.

My Steam Locomotive Photography was inspired by some friends of mine who do Long exposures and i have been inspired by them from looking at their work and it has inspired me to try and learn long exposures on Steam Locomotives. I am still yet to try and learn doing it with bright 5,000K Light were the Locomotive is lit up while in Long exposure. But we can see i am progressing and learning quite quickly!
I enjoy photographing steam locomotives from a variety of perspectives, capturing everything from sweeping landscapes to intimate, up-close details. As seen in the image on the left, photography allows me to document the unique atmosphere and mood of each scene, preserving not just the subject but the feeling of the moment. Through careful composition and attention to light and setting, my images aim to convey the power and nostalgia of these magnificent machines. Each photograph in my portfolio tells its own story, and I strive to create visually striking and memorable images that draw viewers in, highlighting the beauty and drama of steam locomotives in every shot.
